The official gate price at muze.gen.tr covers entry only; tickets on this site add skip-the-ticket-line access and a multilingual audio guide, sold as official Istanbul.com inventory by a TURSAB-licensed agency. Children’s admission rules are set by the museum authority — check the current policy before you travel.
Which Hagia Sophia ticket should you buy?
The price differences map to real differences in what you get, so choose by how you like to visit. If you simply want in without queueing, the entry ticket with audio guide is the best-value option: it covers the visitor gallery, the narration is included rather than sold separately, and you set your own pace. If you want the building explained by a person — questions answered, mosaics decoded, the queue handled for you — a guided tour costs more because a licensed guide's time is in the price; the small-group version buys a quieter experience, and the private tour buys full control of the pace and focus. The History & Experience Museum ticket is a separate admission to the immersive museum beside the mosque — most visitors add it to an entry ticket as a combo rather than buying it alone.
How payment and delivery work
